Skogbryn — the Norwegian word for the forest edge, the place where the trees begin — is a guide to Nordic nature stays built around a simple conviction: the experience of being genuinely inside the Scandinavian landscape is one of the finest things available to a traveller anywhere in the world.
This guide covers forest cabins, treehouse hotels, wilderness lodges, glamping and nature retreats across Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. It is organised around three axes — stay type, destination, and season — because the Nordic nature stay experience is defined equally by all three. A forest cabin in Norway in winter is a fundamentally different proposition to a forest cabin in Finland in summer. Both are worth understanding.
